Vision Uruguay strongly protects the author's rights (copyright) based in a low flexible system, hardened after signing the WTO and WIPO agreements. This system reflects, in a sense, the wish to be taken out of the "black lists", making the international reputation of the country better. In this context, we share the strong belief that it is becoming more necessary to support an alternative cultural model based in freedom of information and collaboration. This model emphasizes the public interest over individual's, specially in education, art and culture, and it is possible thanks to the Creative Commons licenses. Simplicity and practicality of CC licenses ease they use as appropriate tool in lots of academic, artistic and cultural initiatives. FIXME: pegar el resto cuando logremos termiarlo.
